GUIDANCE

In order to fulfill the School Mission, the objectives outlined in the School Improvement Plan and achieve the benchmarks outlined in the Massachusetts Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs:

 

The following services are offered by the Guidance Department:

  • Academic Counseling, individually and in groups
  • Career Counseling
  • College Planning and Counseling
  • Home Tutoring for students with extended or chronic illnesses
  • Coordination of After-School Peer Tutoring with NHS Students
  • Scholarship & Community Service opportunities
 
 

The Guidance Department provides services in a variety of settings through the following activities:

  • Career/College Presentations at appropriate grade levels
  • ASVAB Testing
  • College Board Testing (PSAT in October and A.P. Exams in May)
  • Financial Aid & College Search Informational Evenings for Parents of all grade levels
